It looks like Conor McGregor’s return is getting closer and closer, if that’s the mixed martial arts fighter’s decision.
Through his social networks, the Irishman can be seen training. A sack is the protagonist, as his left leg hit hard against it. That same leg was the one that suffered a fracture last summer. The tibia and fibula were broken in a fight against Dustin Poirier.
McGregor’s strength is back
And not just on one occasion, on several is that “The Notorious” makes an effort to punch the side and does so with tremendous force. “Something like a phenomenon,” is the description that the Irishman put on his social networks, showing the punching ability in his recovered leg.
It seems that the Dubliner will not return to the octagon before 2023, so McGregor’s fans will still not see a fight from him. The last time he was seen winning a fight in the cage was in 2020, when he defeated Donald Cerrone in 40 seconds with a lethal strike.
When was McGregor’s last fight?
July 2021 was the last time Conor McGregor stepped into an octagon to fight. On that occasion he did it against Dustin Poirier. The trilogy was complete and Poirier soundly defeated McGregor. He also suffered a broken left leg. Now, almost a year later, “The Notorious” intends to return to seek the welterweight title.
And the one he has in his sights is Kamaru Usman, the current welterweight champion. But before thinking about a fight against McGregor, the Nigerian will defend his title against Leon Edwards on August 20 in San Jose, California.
