Former dual-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor has finally managed to link up with one of the many celebrities visiting his Dublin pub.
In recent weeks, the jewel in the crown of McGregor’s pub portfolio – The Black Forge Inn – has become something of a celebrity hangout spot but the MMA star has not been around to witness it. The 33-year-old has spent the last few weeks sailing around the south of France on his £2.9million Lamborghini superyacht while he trains for his eagerly anticipated return to fighting.
McGregor bought the Black Forge Inn in 2019
During that time his Dublin pub has been visited by the likes of football legend John Harston, rap icon Coolio, social media star Dan Bilzerian and comedy genius Kevin Hart. Late last week, McGregor cut short his family holiday and travelled home to deal with a legal matter.
And that meant he was able to spend some time at his favourite spot with football legend Ian Wright
Luckily, that meant he was about when Arsenal legend Ian Wright came to town and the pair partied the night away at The Black Forge Inn. The football pundit posted a montage of clips to his social media that showed him sharing a hug with McGregor before they later shared some food, drink, and good conversation.
While McGregor’s career inside the Octagon has not been going to plan as of late, life outside of fighting is good. The Irishman is believed to be worth around $180m and has recently added a third pub to his ever-expanding empire.
The former champion at featherweight and lightweight has been talking up his return from injury for some time. McGregor says when he makes his comeback it will be at welterweight as he hopes to challenge 170lb champion Kamaru Usman.
In recent days, McGregor has been linked to a lucrative boxing rematch with Floyd Mayweather, a clash which made him nine figures in 2017. A rematch may not be as big but is sure to attract huge interest and guarantee Mayweather and McGregor another monster payday.
